Job summary

GFM VIVO CITY PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to support daily front-of-house operations and uphold service standards in our busy venue.

You will lead service teams, coordinate with kitchen, manage reservations, and ensure guest satisfaction while maintaining cash handling, POS accuracy, and safety compliance. Weekend and public holiday shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in restaurant operations or hospitality.
• Previous experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager, Service Supervisor or similar role.
• Strong leadership, customer-service and communication skills.
• Able to supervise, train and motivate a service team.
• Good understanding of restaurant service, cashiering and operational procedures.
• Familiar with point-of-sale systems, payment handling and sales reconciliation.
• Strong organisational, problem-solving and time-management skills.
• Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Restaurant Manager in managing daily front-of-house operations.
• Supervise and coordinate the service team during each shift.
• Conduct pre-shift briefings and assign duties to team members.
• Monitor employee attendance, grooming, conduct and performance.
• Ensure guests receive prompt, friendly and professional service.
• Manage reservations, queues, seating arrangements and table turnover.
• Handle customer feedback and resolve service issues professionally.
• Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure accurate and timely service.
• Monitor dining-room cleanliness, table presentation and service-station readiness.
• Train, coach and guide supervisors and service employees.
• Assist with preparing staff schedules and arranging manpower coverage.
• Monitor inventory levels for front-of-house supplies.
• Ensure employees follow cash-handling and payment procedures.
• Assist with daily sales reconciliation, reports and closing procedures.
• Support sales-building activities, promotions and upselling initiatives.
• Enforce food hygiene, workplace safety and company procedures.
• Assist with stock checks and control unnecessary wastage.
• Report maintenance, staffing and operational issues promptly.
• Take charge of restaurant operations when the Restaurant Manager is unavailable.
