GFM VIVO CITY PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations and supervising the kitchen team. The role focuses on maintaining consistent food standards and ensuring efficient service.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, knowledge of cooking techniques, and experience guiding a team in a busy restaurant environment. This position requires reliability and the ability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Sous Chef or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
• Experience supervising a kitchen team.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and workplace safety standards.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations.
• Supervise chefs, cooks and kitchen helpers during preparation and service.
• Coordinate workflow across kitchen sections and ensure consistency with recipes and presentation.
• Monitor food quality, taste, freshness and presentation to uphold standards.
• Manage operations in the Head Chef’s absence and support staff scheduling.
