General Description
Responsible for supporting and coordinating end-to-end tender and bid activities, ensuring customer requirements are addressed accurately, commercially competitive and within the required timelines. The role works closely with regional, country and global stakeholders to facilitate effective tender submissions and support the company’s business objectives.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate with global and regional account management teams in preparing and submitting tenders for key, strategic and global customers.
- Review tender documents, requirements and specifications to identify key commercial and operational requirements and ensure appropriate responses.
- Liaise with country and regional teams, particularly across APAC, to gather relevant information and ensure complete, accurate and timely tender submissions.
- Collaborate with local offices, procurement teams and other internal stakeholders to develop competitive and commercially sound tender proposals.
- Coordinate tender timelines, pricing activities, internal reviews and approvals in accordance with established tender management procedures.
- Support pricing analysis and evaluation by consolidating relevant commercial information and highlighting key findings or potential risks.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date database of tender opportunities, submissions, results and supporting documentation.
- Participate in cross-regional meetings and provide tender-related analysis, coordination and recommendations to support business and commercial objectives.
- Identify and resolve tender-related issues by coordinating with relevant stakeholders and following through on agreed corrective actions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, process reviews and other projects related to tender management and commercial operations.
- Perform other relevant duties and assignments as required by the business.
Skills & Competencies
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are mandatory.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with good attention to detail.
- Proactive, quick-thinking and solution-oriented approach to problem solving.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across different countries and cultures.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Good organisational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and perform under pressure.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related discipline is preferred.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in freight forwarding, logistics, supply chain or a related industry.
- Experience in tender management, bid coordination, pricing, quotations or commercial support will be an advantage.
