Job summary

SEKO Logistics is seeking a highly organized Assistant Manager to lead a small operations team. This junior managerial role is designed for an experienced team lead or senior executive ready to take full ownership of a core group of four specialists.

You will blend operational efficiency with customer service excellence, overseeing end-to-end Air and Ocean shipments, maintaining carrier relationships, and ensuring compliance with trade laws and SOPs.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of hands-on freight forwarding operations experience, with Ocean freight focus.
• Experience as a team lead, coordinator, or senior executive ready to own a core team.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and organize the operation team to ensure high performance and accurate system updates.
• Balance workloads across the team, act as the first escalation point for complex operational issues and key client concerns.
• Assist in setting team KPIs and providing constructive feedback to help team members grow.
• Oversee and support end-to-end Air and Ocean freight shipments (import/export, documentation, customs clearance, local delivery).
• Maintain relationships with carriers, co-loaders, airlines, and overseas agents to secure competitive solutions and resolve disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with local customs regulations, international trade laws, and SOPs.
