Job summary

PERSOL Singapore is seeking a Shipping Clerk/Administrator in Bukit Merah to handle inquiries, process shipments, and manage documentation. The role focuses on timely dispatch and accuracy of shipping papers for customers and overseas agents.

Ideal candidates have a logistics background, 1–3 years of relevant experience, and strong communication skills to engage customers and stakeholders. Seats are on-site with standard Mon–Fri hours.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, SCM or related field.
• 1–3 years in freight forwarding/shipping/logistics operations.
• Good understanding of international shipping procedures, documentation, and customs regulations.
• Familiar with Incoterms and freight processes (air/sea freight).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-oriented mindset with ability to identify needs and provide solutions.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills for documentation.
• Proficient in data entry and logistics systems.
• Ability to multitask, prioritise, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle operational issues independently.
• Team player with ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Willingness to take on ad-hoc duties and adapt to operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Handle general enquiries regarding shipments, vessel’s ETA and charges.
• Conduct targeted conversations with customers to identify customer needs.
• Ensure timely dispatch of shipping documents to customers and overseas agents.
• Liaise with customers and overseas agents on shipping activities and documentation.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of all documentation to comply with customs regulations and international trade requirements.
• Familiar with shipping Incoterms.
• Perform data entry for freight services.
• Manage the complete documentation for compliance operations and/or advise clients on tariff/rate/cost/quotation requirements and eligibility.
• Communicate and coordinate with external stakeholders to ensure operational excellence
• Work with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of interest within business activities.
• Follow operational policies, standards, and procedures.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as required.

Salary: $3,300 - $3,600

Working Location: Bukit Merah

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5.30pm

Responsibilities:

• Handle general enquiries regarding shipments, vessel’s ETA and charges.

• Conduct targeted conversations with customers to identify customer needs.

• Ensure timely dispatch of shipping documents to customers and overseas agents.

• Liaise with customers and overseas agent on shipping activities and documentation.

• Ensure accuracy and completeness of all documentation to comply with customs regulations and international trade requirements.

• Familiar with shipping incoterms.

• Perform data entry for freight services.

• Manage the complete documentation for compliance operations and/or advise clients on tariff/rate/cost/quotation requirements and eligibility.
