Job summary

MARS CONSULTING PTE. LTD. is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with HR teams to implement and optimise our HRIS platform in live customer environments.

You will bridge product engineering and client operations, turning complex HR workflows into reliable, well-configured deployments. You will deploy, configure, and troubleshoot for enterprise clients, partner with customer HR and People Ops teams to map workflows end to end, and help shape the product roadmap by feeding field

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in forward deployed, solutions, or implementation engineering.
• Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across APIs, data integrations, and configuration layers.
• Exposure to AI-assisted tooling or AI features in HR products is a plus.

Role Overview

We are hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with HR teams to implement and optimise our HRIS platform in live customer environments. You will bridge product engineering and client operations, turning complex HR workflows into reliable, well-configured deployments.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot our HRIS platform for enterprise clients, translating HR process requirements into working system configurations.
• Partner with customer HR and People Ops teams to map workflows across onboarding, payroll data flows, and employee records, then implement and validate them end to end.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues in production deployments, escalating product defects to engineering with clear reproduction steps and impact assessments.
• Build reusable configuration patterns and deployment playbooks that shorten implementation timelines for future HR tech customers.
• Feed field insights back to product and engineering teams to shape roadmap priorities based on real customer usage.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in forward deployed, solutions, or implementation engineering, ideally within HR tech or a closely adjacent SaaS environment.
• Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms and a solid understanding of core HR data models and workflows.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across APIs, data integrations, and configuration layers, with the ability to work independently in remote customer-facing settings.
• Exposure to AI-assisted tooling or AI features in HR products is a plus.
