Job summary

KAI SENG CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Formwork Foreman to lead a crew and oversee formwork planning, installation, and quality control on site in Singapore.

You will interpret drawings, manage material needs, and coordinate with rebar and concrete teams to ensure on-time completion with strict tolerances. Strong leadership and safety focus are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Formwork Foreman or Senior Formwork Worker.
• Strong leadership and team management skills; able to lead 8-16 formwork workers.
• Ability to adapt to the site environment and complete high-intensity tasks on schedule.
• Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents will be given priority.

• Progress & Safety Management: Develop schedules for formwork activities and enforce safety protocols, focusing on stability and safety of formwork systems.
• Site Coordination & Problem-Solving: Collaborate with project managers and foremen to resolve interface issues and address design changes.

Detailed Job Responsibilities

• Formwork System Planning & Installation: Develop detailed work methods based on structural requirements to ensure cast-in-place concrete meets strict dimensional tolerances for finish, levelness, and plumb.
• Drawing Interpretation & Material Management: Accurately calculate formwork and support material requirements, manage material logistics, and control costs by minimizing waste.
• Team Management & Quality Control:Lead a team of formworkers in executing high-precision work, ensuring each step (assembly, propping, alignment) adheres to specifications. Lead comprehensive pre-concrete pour checks, focusing on stability, water-tightness, dimensional accuracy, and support system integrity.
• Progress & Safety Management:Develop detailed schedules for formwork activities to ensure seamless integration with subsequent trades like rebar fixing and concreting. Enforce safety protocols, with particular attention to work-at-height, lifting operations, and stability of formwork support systems to prevent accidents.
• Site Coordination & Problem-Solving:
  Collaborate closely with project managers, rebar foremen, and concreting foremen to resolve interface issues and technical problems promptly. Possess strong problem-solving skills to effectively address design changes or unforeseen site challenges.
