Job summary

SUPERMONO PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced Building General Foreman to oversee daily construction operations on-site in Singapore.

You will coordinate direct labour, manage subcontractors, enforce safety standards, and ensure quality and timely delivery of milestones. Responsibilities include supervising trades, tracking progress, coordinating with Site Engineer and Project Manager, and ensuring adherence to WSH regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of on-site supervisory experience in building construction or civil projects in Singapore.
• Ability to read and interpret structural, architectural, and M&E drawings and site plans.
• Strong leadership and communication in English; basic Mandarin or Tamil/Bengali an added site advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day on-site activities; direct labor, subcontractors, and trades.
• Track progress against master schedule; coordinate with Site Engineer and Project Manager to recover delays.
• Enforce MOM and BCA WSH standards; conduct toolbox briefings and maintain a safe site environment.
• Ensure compliance with approved shop drawings and method statements; perform pre-inspections before handovers.
• Coordinate material deliveries, inspect incoming materials, and manage site storage and equipment maintenance.
• Attend daily site coordination meetings; resolve clashes and prepare daily progress and manpower reports.

Education

BCSSC / SSCS certification (Building Construction Supervisors Safety Course / SSSC)

CoreTrade / Multi-Skilling (BCA)

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Building General Foreman to oversee daily on-site construction operations. In this role, you will coordinate direct labour, manage subcontractors, enforce quality standards, and ensure strict compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations to deliver project milestones safely and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Supervision & Coordination: Manage and direct day-to-day site activities, direct trade workers, and subcontractors across structural, architectural, and related building trades.

• Progress & Schedule Tracking: Monitor daily work progress against the master construction schedule, anticipate site delays, and implement recovery actions in coordination with the Site Engineer and Project Manager.

• Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Enforce MOM and BCA Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) standards, conduct daily toolbox briefings, monitor hazard controls, and maintain a safe, clean site environment.

• Quality Assurance & Inspection: Ensure all works comply with approved shop drawings, method statements, and specifications; conduct pre-inspections before client/RTO (Resident Technical Officer) handovers.

• Material & Machinery Handling: Coordinate site deliveries, inspect incoming construction materials, manage site storage, and monitor the safe deployment and maintenance of equipment and machinery.

• Site Coordination & Reporting: Attend daily site coordination meetings, resolve ground-level site clashes or trade conflicts, and prepare daily site progress and manpower reports.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant on-site supervisory experience in building construction or civil engineering projects in Singapore.

• Certifications:

  • Building Construction Supervisors Safety Course (BCSSC) / Supervise Workplace Safety and Health in Process Plant (SSSC) certified.

  • CoreTrade / Multi-Skilling scheme certification by BCA (preferred).

  • First Aid / Work at Height Supervisor certification is an advantage.

• Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret structural, architectural, and M&E engineering drawings and site plans.

• Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership skills to direct trade subcontractors and multi-national site workers; effective communication in English (ability to speak basic Mandarin or Tamil/Bengali is an added advantage on site).

• Work Ethic: Practical, hands-on problem solver with high safety consciousness and readiness to work on active construction sites.
