Job summary

Seacare Manpower Services seeks a Food Lab Assistant to support Food & Consumer Education practical lessons in Singapore. You will prepare, portion and manage ingredients in our school labs, ensuring accuracy and safety.

This nine-month contract runs January 2027 to December 2027. Hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm, with a 30-minute lunch. The role requires English proficiency, a PSLE certificate and at least one year of kitchen experience.

Qualifications

• PSLE certificate and SFA Food Safety Course Level 1 required.
• Able to read and converse in English; good communication.
• At least 1 year of relevant kitchen experience; knowledge of food handling.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion and distribute ingredients according to recipes.
• Store and handle ingredients per food safety standards.
• Assist with food ordering, receiving and checking deliveries.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in Food Labs.
• Conduct inventory and stock-taking of ingredients.
• Assist with food prep for school projects, events and competitions.
• Perform general housekeeping and other duties as assigned by teachers.

Looking for a Food Lab Assistant to support the smooth running of Food & Consumer Education (FCE) practical lessons.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare, portion and distribute food ingredients according to recipes
• Store and handle food ingredients in accordance with food safety standards
• Assist with food ordering, receiving and checking deliveries
• Maintain cleanliness, tidiness and proper arrangement of Food Labs
• Conduct inventory and stock-taking of ingredients and consumables
• Assist with food preparation for school projects, events and competitions
• Perform general housekeeping and other duties assigned by teachers

Requirements:

• PSLE certificate
• SFA Food Safety Course Level 1
• Able to read and converse in English
• At least 1 year of relevant kitchen experience
• Knowledge of food handling and ingredient portioning
• Positive attitude, good communication skills and able to work independently

Duration/Working hours:

9 months contract (Option to extend) Jan 2027 to Dec 2027

Mondays to Fridays: 7:00am to 3:30pm, inclusive of 30 minute lunch
break
Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public
holidays or off-in-lieu of the public holidays when the school is closed.
Service is not required for the entire months of June, November and
December each year, in accordance with the school holiday period
