Job summary

Seacare Manpower Services Pte Ltd is seeking a part-time School Kitchen Assistant to support Food and Consumer Education activities. You will prepare materials and ingredients for practical lessons, manage inventory and orders with suppliers, and ensure hygiene standards are followed.

The role involves coordinating with teachers, handling kitchen tasks, stock counts, and assisting with school events as required. Training in food safety is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Statement/Certificate of Attainment for the SSG Food Safety Course Level 1 or equivalent.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work well as part of a team and demonstrate initiative.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with FCE teachers to prepare materials and ingredients for practical lessons.

• Prepare and portion food ingredients for practical lessons while observing proper food hygiene practices.
• Clean the kitchen and check utensils after each lesson.
• Conduct stocktaking of food and cleaning supplies.
• Assist with school events when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the school.

Job Requirements

• Must possess a Statement/Certificate of Attainment for the SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) Food Safety Course Level 1 or equivalent.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work well as part of a team and demonstrate initiative.
• Relevant experience in a school environment is an advantage.

Duration/Working Hours:

1 year - opt to extend for 2 years (Jan 2027 - Dec 2027)

• Mondays to Fridays: 7:30am to 12:30pm, excluding lunch break
• Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays, school holidays (Jun/Nov/Dec) and gazetted public holidays
