Job summary

SEACARE MANPOWER SERVICES PTE LTD invites applications for a Food Lab Assistant at a Singapore secondary school. The role involves assisting with culinary lessons, preparing ingredients and maintaining a clean, safe prep area, aligned to food safety standards.

Requirements include PSLE, WSQ FSC Level 1, and at least 3 years’ relevant school kitchen experience, plus good English and teamwork. Working hours are Mon–Thu 7.30am–3.30pm, Fri 7.30am–12.30pm, with occasional extended days.

Responsibilities

• Support NFS Teachers during culinary lessons and promote food safety practices.
• Prepare and portion ingredients and equipment for lessons.
• Receive food supplies and maintain inventory/stock records.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and safety standards across the preparation room and kitchens.
• Check and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils and supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary: $1,664/month

Contract: 10 months | Jan 2027 – Nov 2027

Working Hours: Mon–Thu, 7.30am–3.30pm | Fri, 7.30am–12.30pm

Working Schedule

• Lunch break is included in the daily working hours
• No service required on weekends and gazetted public holidays
• Occasional extended hours up to 6.30pm may be required **on** fewer than 10 days per year, with advance notice where possible
