Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd is seeking an Accounts Executive to support two established distribution companies. The role involves processing daily accounting transactions, maintaining documentation, and assisting with reconciliations and period-end activities. The work is overseen by the Accountant.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in Accounting/Finance, has 1–3 years of accounting experience, and is proficient in Excel. Familiarity with GST in Singapore and ERP systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline.
• One to three years of relevant accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of an ERP system or accounting software.
• Basic understanding of Singapore GST requirements.
• Accurate, organised, and able to meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Accurately records expenses and processes supplier invoices within the ERP system by verifying complete supporting documentation.
• Prepares and posts payment vouchers to maintain an audit-ready general ledger and ensure timely vendor disbursements.
• Maintains the accounts receivable ledger by accurately recording customer payments and matching them against outstanding invoices.
• Processes staff claims, checking receipts and approvals against company policy, and records them in the system for reimbursement.
• Performs bank and supplier statement reconciliations and follows up on reconciling items.
• Maintains well-organised accounting records to support statutory audits and internal reviews.
• Supports month-end closing, statutory audits, and year-end stocktakes.
• Performs other finance and accounting duties as assigned.
