Job summary

Johnson Controls in Singapore seeks an experienced Project Engineer to oversee building services projects from scope to handover. You will define scope, budget and schedule, delegate tasks, and coordinate with customers and subcontractors to ensure on-time delivery.

Responsibilities include risk assessment, progress tracking, QA/QC compliance, cost control, and ensuring payments to suppliers. Strong communication with the sales team and site supervision are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree with minimum 1 year relevant experience in Building Services, M&E or construction preferably in Fire Protection System.
• Competent in Chiller Plant and airside replacement. Excel, Word and Project essential.

Responsibilities

• Define scope, budget and schedule for projects
• Device project implementation methodology
• Plan and oversee work schedule for multiple small to medium projects
• Identify potential project risks and recommend resolutions
• Establish effective communication with customer
• Track and update progress, task and project health to supervisors
• Ensure compliance to codes, QA/QC policies and specs; perform quality audits
• Cost control and delivery of financial commitments
• Managing reports and documents
• Work with Sales team for tender bidding
• Supervision of sub-contractors’ work on site
• Schedule purchase and deliveries of materials
• Assign tasks to and supervise junior engineers/technicians
• Follow-up on payment from customers and verify payments to suppliers
• Train customer and provide first year maintenance warranty visits
• Hand over project to customer and service team
