Job description

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial reporting, accounting operations, and statutory compliance.
• Ensure timely management reports, budgeting, forecasting, and group consolidation.
• Manage cash flow planning, banking matters, and annual insurance renewals.
• Liaise with external parties such as auditors, banks, and tax advisors.
• Work closely with the Group Finance Director and shareholders on key financial matters.
• Lead and develop the finance team to enhance reporting accuracy and functional capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and transfer pricing requirements.
• Supervise payroll, admin, and IT functions.
• Drive internal controls, accounting policy improvements, and risk management.
• Handle ad-hoc finance projects as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional accounting certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent).
• Minimum 8 years of finance/accounting experience, with prior role as Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager.
• Background in chemical distribution or manufacturing, preferably with regional exposure.
• Experience in multinational companies and cross-border finance operations.
• Proficient in SAP S/4HANA; involvement in system implementation or upgrades is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore tax, statutory, and regulatory frameworks.
• Skilled in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Proven leadership and team development capabilities.
• Strong communication skills and stakeholder management, including with Group Finance and shareholders.
• Experience with M&A or entity disposals is an advantage.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
