Job description

The Finance Controller is responsible for overseeing Finance, Information Technology and Corporate Office departments. The incumbent will collaborate extensively with other senior management to ensure cohesive decision-making and strategic alignment. This role is instrumental in the overall finance and accounting strategy to optimize financial performance for sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Oversee the financial planning, risk management, and financial reporting of the organization. Ensure the financial health and sustainability of the company, driving strategic financial initiatives, and providing leadership to the finance team.
  • Set financial goals, develop financial plans, and monitor financial performance to ensure targets are met. Analyse and evaluate investment such as yard development cost.
  • Responsible for financial control/planning and reporting, initiate and prepare strategic plan aligned with the company’s business goals.
  • Engage and liaise with other Hanwha Group entities, government agencies, regulatory bodies and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee corporate office department, including corporate secretarial services with professionals and ensure compliance in corporate governance and reporting.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of sustainability strategies and initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Maintain relationships with investors, banks, auditors, and other financial stakeholders. Communicate the company’s financial performance and strategy to stakeholders.
  • Partnerships and Alliances: Identify and establish strategic partnerships and alliances that enhance the company's market position and drive growth. Manage and nurture relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement IT strategies that support the company's overall business objectives. Collaborate with senior management to identify technology needs and opportunities.
  • IT Governance: Establish IT policies, procedures and best practices to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and security standards. Implement IT governance structures to manage and monitor IT investments and initiatives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Cultivate harmonious cross-functional collaboration with other senior management. Ensure a unified approach to business strategies and promote organizational cohesion.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or relevant field of study.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in managerial role.
  • Strong financial/corporate background with proven ability to provide key financial data, reporting and analysis to assist in key business decisions.
  • Strong financial control and reporting skills and rigorously ensuring that all statutory and corporate obligations are met.
  • Possess strategic and highly analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
