Job summary

StarHub Ltd in Singapore is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee POS and payment operations within Finance. You will lead a small team, ensure accurate processing, uphold controls, and drive automation and efficiency with internal and external partners.

You will collaborate with IS, product owners, and finance teams to improve data flow, settlements, and customer experience, balancing BAU with improvement projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field.
• 4-6 years in payment/finance operations, incl. 1-2 years supervisory.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems and payment modes (cards, GIRO, PayNow).
• Experience in process improvement, automation or cost optimization.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines with a growth mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end POS and payment operations, including validation, reconciliation, and settlement.
• Strengthen internal controls to ensure accuracy, compliance, and risk mitigation.
• Resolve issues across POS systems, payment gateways, and related platforms with IS and product owners.
• Collaborate with external collecting agents, banks, and payment providers for smooth settlements.
• Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and cost-saving initiatives.
• Partner with IS, product owners, and finance teams to ensure accurate data flow and efficiencies.
• Provide insights to enhance efficiency and customer experience; support digital initiatives.
• Lead, coach, and develop team members; foster accountability and collaboration.
• Balance BAU with improvement projects and allocate resources effectively.
