Job summary

StarHub seeks an Assistant Manager to oversee POS and payment modes operations within Finance in Singapore. You will lead a small team, ensure accurate transactions, strengthen controls, and drive automation for efficiency and cost savings while enhancing customer and business experience.

You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external parties to resolve issues and implement improvements that balance BAU with strategic projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
• 4–6 years of relevant payment, finance operations experience, including 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems, payment modes, reconciliations, and controls.
• Experience in process improvement, automation, or cost optimization projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to propose practical, efficient solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to prioritise multiple deadlines under pressure with a growth mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end POS and payment operations, including validation, reconciliation, settlement, and exception handling.
• Monitor and strengthen internal controls, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and risk mitigation.
• Resolve issues across POS systems, payment gateways, and related platforms in collaboration with IS and product owners.
• Collaborate with external collecting agents, banks, and payment service providers to ensure smooth operations and accurate settlements.
• Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and cost-saving initiatives to reduce manual work and costs.
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure accurate data flow, resolve issues, and drive efficiencies.
• Provide insights to enhance efficiency, customer experience, and support digital initiatives.
• Lead, coach, and develop team members with a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
