Job summary

Manpower Staffing Services (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking a Finance Operations Analyst to support monthly close, regulatory reporting, and distribution-related accounting within life insurance operations.

You will collaborate with Distribution teams, DSS, DPM, and product IT, ensuring accurate bookings and efficient controls across EUC, DMS, and policy admin systems.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting and Finance with 2-3 years in finance operations.
• Experience in life insurance distribution accounting and commissions.
• Exposure to DMS, policy admin systems, and EUC controls.
• Knowledge of insurance funds, production period accounting, and distribution PM processes.
• Experience in insurance commission & distribution cost booking is advantageous.
• Ability to adapt to GL and policy admin systems using Alteryx, PowerBuilder; AI is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support the monthly financial book close in line with group reporting and local regulatory timelines.
• Monitor batch runs from DMS and manage remediation actions for exemptions.
• Support Distribution with monthly schedules and aging schedules.
• Assist product development and IT change requests as finance SME.
• Coordinate with DSS and DPM to ensure correct bookings for production period and insurance fund.
• Assist EUC controls within finance operations.
• Support balance sheet substantiation and reconciliation for distribution.

Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Support the monthly financial book close in line with group financial reporting and local regulatory reporting timeline for finance operations with principal areas covering distribution, health, and fixed asset-related process.
• Support daily monitoring of batch run from "Distribution Management System" (DMS) and promptly managing any remediation actions of any exemptions.
• Support Distribution team with monthly schedules and aging schedules.
• Support the product development team and system IT change request activities as the main finance subject matter expert (SME).
• Work with Distribution Support Services (DSS) and Distribution Performance Management (DPM) to ensure correct booking align to the production period and insurance fund.
• Support in managing the end-user computing (EUC) controls, for finance operations.
• Commission and Distribution accounts related "Balance sheet substantiation and reconciliation" support to distribution team.

Job Requirement

• Degree in Accounting and Finance with 2 - 3 years' experience in finance operations.
• Experience in life insurance distribution accounting, commission processing, and related financial operations.
• Exposure to Distribution Management Systems (DMS), policy administration systems, and end-user computing (EUC) controls.
• Knowledge of insurance funds, production period accounting, and distribution performance management processes.
• Prior experience in managing insurance commission & distribution cost booking is advantageous.
• Ability to adapt to the current GL and policy admin system and operational simplifications using Alteryx, Power builder and AI are advantageous.
