Job summary

OLIVER JAMES ASSOCIATES (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. is seeking an Operations Executive for Life Insurance New Business on a 6–12 month contract in Singapore.

You will help move new policies from application to issuance, liaising with brokers, underwriters and regional teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Ideal candidates have life insurance operations experience, strong data entry and organizational skills, and English proficiency; Mandarin is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Clear, professional communication in English; Mandarin is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up new business cases and process applications in internal systems.
• Review applications and documents for completeness and accuracy.

• Prepare and index documents for underwriting review.
• Perform name screening checks and escalate issues to Compliance.
• Maintain up-to-date case records and assist with ad hoc requests.

About the role

Our client, a global life insurer, is looking for a detail-oriented operations professional to join their New Business team in Singapore. You'll help new policies move smoothly from application to issuance, working with brokers, underwriters and colleagues across the region.

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their insurance operations career who wants hands‑on exposure to international, high-value life insurance business, with full training on the product and systems provided.

What you'll be doing

• Setting up new business cases and processing applications accurately across internal systems
• Reviewing applications and supporting documents to check they are complete and in good order
• Following up on outstanding requirements with brokers and internal teams
• Preparing and indexing documents for underwriting review
• Performing name screening checks and escalating any concerns to the Compliance team
• Keeping case records up to date and supporting the team on ad hoc requests

What we're looking for

• Experience in life insurance operations, new business, policy administration or underwriting support — insurance background or insurance broking experience is necessary
• A sharp eye for detail and accurate data entry
• Good organisation skills and the ability to juggle multiple cases and shifting priorities
• Clear, professional communication in English; Mandarin is highly advantageous
• A diploma or degree; LOMA or similar insurance qualifications are a plus
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
