Job summary

Manpower Singapore is seeking a seasoned Finance Leader to lead the finance team and oversee the full spectrum of accounting activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

You will manage manufacturing finance, budgeting, cash flow, and regulatory compliance with Singapore standards and GST, while collaborating with operations, internal controls, and external auditors.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting/Finance or related discipline; professional qualifications add advantage.
• At least 6 years of finance and accounting experience.
• Well versed in full-set accounts, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and management accounting.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, ensuring timely completion of finance activities.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, reconciliations, month-end and year-end closing, and financial reporting.
• Oversee costing, inventory valuation, WIP accounting, standard costing, and variance analysis.
• Lead budgeting, rolling forecasts, and management reporting with meaningful analysis.
• Monitor inventory, production costs, margins, and profitability; collaborate with operations to improve cost control.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, treasury, and banking relationships.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore accounting standards, GST, and IRAS/ACRA filings.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulators to ensure audits and compliance.
• Strengthen internal controls and governance to mitigate risks.

Job description

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, ensuring accurate and timely completion of finance and accounting activities.
• Manage the full spectrum of accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, reconciliations, month-end and year-end closing, and financial reporting.
• Oversee manufacturing finance activities, including product costing, standard costing, inventory valuation, WIP accounting, cost roll-ups, and variance analysis.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts, and management reporting, providing meaningful analysis and recommendations to support business decisions.
• Monitor inventory, production costs, margins, and profitability, working closely with operations and manufacturing teams to improve efficiency and cost control.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, treasury functions, and banking relationships to ensure healthy liquidity and financial stability.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore accounting standards, tax regulations, GST requirements, and statutory filings with IRAS and ACRA.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities to ensure timely completion of audits and compliance matters.
• Strengthen internal controls, financial processes, and governance frameworks to mitigate risks and enhance operational effectiveness.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. ACCA, CPA, or CA qualification will be an added advantage.
• At least 6 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, preferably within the manufacturing, precision engineering, or industrial sectors.
• Well verse in full-set accounts, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and management accounting.
