Job summary

Paxocean Engineering Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Senior Finance Leader to oversee the full accounting function for Singapore entities and the Saudi subsidiary.

You will coach a finance team, drive month-end and year-end closes, and ensure compliance with Singapore FRS/IFRS, GST and tax requirements. You will lead audits with external auditors, manage intercompany transactions, and provide financial insights to support regional operations.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of accounting/finance experience in regional or multinational settings.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore FRS/IFRS, GST and corporate tax.
• Experience with audit and tax compliance across entities.
• Experience with cross-border operations, Middle East preferred.
• Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word.
• Experience in managing a team.
• SAP experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of 4 finance professionals with coaching and performance management.
• Manage full set of accounts and month/year-end closing for Singapore entities and Saudi subsidiary.
• Review journals and audit schedules for accuracy under FRS/IFRS.
• Lead financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate audit with external auditors for SG entities and Saudi subsidiary.
• Ensure timely GST filings.
• Review corporate tax computations and liaise with tax agent.
• Support transfer pricing and intercompany transactions.
• Provide finance business partnering to Saudi subsidiary with insights and guidance.
• Prepare monthly forecasts and yearly budgets for the Saudi subsidiary.
• Prepare/Support tax computations and transfer pricing documentation for the Saudi subsidiary.
• Ad-hoc tasks including government surveys and reports.

Job description

Working Location: Based in Great World City (GWC) but required to travel to Shipyard at 5 Jalan Samulun (2-3 times weekly)

Working hours in the shipyard: 7.30am to 5.00pm (transportation provided in the morning)

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead a team of 4 finance professionals, providing coaching, guidance and performance management.
• Manage full set of accounts and ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing for Singapore entities and Saudi subsidiary
• Review journal entries and audit schedules, ensure completeness and accuracy of financial records in compliance with Singapore FRS/IFRS
• Oversee financial reporting and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
• Lead audit process and act as the key liaison with external auditors for Singapore entities and the Saudi subsidiary
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of GST filings
• Review corporate tax computations of Singapore entities and liaise with external tax agent
• Support transfer pricing documentation and ensure proper handling of intercompany transactions
• Serve as a key finance business partner to the Saudi subsidiary by delivery financial insights and guidance to support business operations, while ensuring compliance with established SOPS, internal policies and control framework
• Prepare and present monthly forecasts and yearly budget for the Saudi subsidiary
• Prepare/Support tax computation and transfer pricing documentation for the Saudi subsidiary
• Any ad-hoc tasks assigned including government surveys and preparing reports required by management

Key Requirements

• Min 6-8 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, preferably in a regional or multinational environment
• Strong knowledge of Singapore FRS/IFRS, GST and corporate tax
• Experience in audit and tax compliance across multiple entities
• Experience handling cross-border operations, preferably involving the Middle East
• Proficient in MS Excel and Words
• Experience in managing a team
• Experience in SAP will be advantage
