Job summary

Paxocean Engineering Pte. Ltd. is seeking a finance professional based in Singapore to manage month-end close for Singapore and overseas entities, review GLs, and support audits.

The role requires regional exposure, GST/IFRS knowledge, and strong Excel/Word skills. SAP experience is a plus, with travel to shipyards for coordination when needed. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in accounting, a Bachelor’s in Accountancy or Finance, and a track record in cross-border finance and tax compliance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare month-end closing entries for Singapore and overseas entities, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Review general ledger transactions to ensure all transactions are properly recorded and accounted for.
• Prepare audit schedules for Singapore and overseas entities.
• Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Assist with the annual audit and preparation of financial statements for Singapore and overseas entities.
• Prepare tax computations for Singapore and overseas entities.
• Support transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transactions between entities.
• Support finance-related process improvements and enhancement initiatives.
• Act as a finance business partner to overseas entities by providing financial guidance and support for business operations, while ensuring compliance with established SOPs, internal policies and control frameworks.
• Handle ad-hoc finance assignments, including preparation of management reports and support for regulatory submissions, such as government surveys.

Job description

Working Location: Based in Great World City (GWC) but required to travel to Shipyard at 5 Jalan Samulun (2-3 times weekly)

Working hours in the shipyard: 7.30am to 5.00pm (transportation provided in the morning)

Key Responsibilities

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience in team management or supervising team members.
• Experience with SAP will be an advantage.
