Job summary

Sephora Singapore seeks an Assistant Manager, Financial Control on a 1-year contract to own day-to-day accounting, close processes, and regulatory reporting. You will partner with Shared Services, auditors, and regional finance teams to ensure accurate financial statements and strong internal controls.

You will lead month-end and year-end closures, review leases, accruals, provisions, and intercompany items, while supporting tax compliance and process improvements across the finance function.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA) advantageous.
• At least 5 years of relevant accounting, reporting and financial control experience.
• Experience with month-end and year-end closing and financial statements.
• Knowledge of Singapore statutory reporting, tax compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in internal controls, risk assessment, audit coordination and control remediation.
• Proficient financial analysis and cost control, with clear movement explanations.
• Advanced Excel; SAP and Shared Services exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day accounting and financial control activities for Sephora Singapore.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing, balance sheet review and P&L analysis.
• Coordinate group/regulatory reporting, statutory financial statements and schedules.
• Review accounting treatments for key transactions and escalation when needed.
• Manage finance operations with Shared Services and stakeholders.
• Support statutory audit, internal controls, and tax filings with external advisors.
• Drive process improvements and cost-control initiatives.
