About the Role
We are seeking a Finance and HR Manager who thrives in a dynamic SME environment and is ready to play a critical role in shaping the future of our company.
You’ll be the strategic backbone of our operations, responsible for financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and talent stewardship.

Key Responsibilities
Finance Responsibilities involves both strategic finance oversight and hands-on transactional control, which is key in an SME environment
- Oversee and manage day-to-day financial operations, including the full set of accounts; Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), ensuring timely and accurate transaction entries.
- Manage cash flow, process payments, and liaise with banks for account operations, loan repayments, and banking relationships.
- Generate and deliver monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement) for internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct monthly budget variance analysis to monitor performance against targets to guide operational decisions.
- Prepare annual budgets in collaboration with department heads and senior management.
- Develop rolling forecasts to anticipate revenue and expenditure fluctuations, especially during cyclical business periods.
- Identify cost saving opportunities, and strengthen internal controls, and compliance processes in line with regulatory and industry standards.
- Develop and manage long-term financial strategies and departmental budgets to ensure sustainable business growth.
- Prepare financial models to assess the profitability and feasibility of potential projects, acquisitions, or expansion plans.
- Support strategic decision-making with scenario planning, ROI analysis, and sensitivity testing, ensuring alignment with company growth objectives.
Human Resources Responsibilities (SME-Focused)
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Partner with department heads to assess manpower needs and craft role-specific job descriptions.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment: sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer issuance.
- Facilitate smooth onboarding: issue contracts, conduct orientation, and ensure complete HR documentation.
HR Operations & Administration
- Maintain accurate, confidential employee records (digital and physical), including updates for salary, promotions, and personal details.
- Oversee payroll processing: verify timesheets, ensure statutory compliance (CPF, SDL, etc.).
- Manage attendance and leave types (AL, SL, maternity, etc.) in line with MOM regulations.
- Ensure HR policies and SOPs comply with the Employment Act, CPF Act, PDPA, and other statutory requirements.
- Handle work pass applications and renewals (if applicable).
Performance Management & Development
- Support managers in setting KPIs, conducting performance reviews, and delivering feedback.
- Identify training needs and maintain training records.
- Plan employee engagement initiatives and conduct stay/exit interviews to support retention.
Organisational Development
- Develop and manage departmental budgets for Finance and HR.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Human Resource Management
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a combined Finance/HR leadership role, preferably in an SME environment
- Strong command of financial reporting, Singapore accounting standards, and HR legal frameworks
- Proven ability to set, measure, and achieve departmental KPIs
- Exceptional analytical, organisational, systematic and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal communication with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels
- A proactive self-starter who is adaptable, quick to learn, demonstrates strong ethical leadership, and possesses high emotional intelligence
