Job summary

CanWorkOne.SG Employment Pte Ltd is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, troubleshoot, maintain and relocate semiconductor equipment at customer sites in Singapore. This hands-on role requires working with electrical, mechanical systems and cleanroom environments.

You will perform on-site installation and repair, provide technical support, generate service reports, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure minimal downtime.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Willing to work overtime, including evenings and weekends; OT paid.
• Hands-on, technically inclined with strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Comfortable working in cleanroom/sub-fab environments and in customer-facing roles.

Field Service Engineer – Semiconductor Equipment

Singapore | Permanent

Our client is looking for a Field Service Engineer to provide technical support and service for semiconductor equipment at customer sites. This is a hands-on role covering installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and equipment relocation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide field service and technical support to customers within the semiconductor industry.
• Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, de-installation, and relocation of semiconductor equipment at customer sites.
• Support facilities-related activities involving electrical, CDA, gas, vacuum, exhaust, and cooling water systems.
• Attend technology transfer programmes and technical training conducted by equipment manufacturers.
• Provide technical training, troubleshooting assistance, and consultation to customers.
• Carry out in-house repair and maintenance of equipment and components, including heater jackets, vacuum valves, and other devices.
• Work closely with internal departments to ensure timely and effective customer support.
• Support logistics activities including packing, unpacking, and delivery of parts and equipment when required.
• Maintain proper organisation, labelling, and housekeeping of tools, parts, and work areas in accordance with 6S practices.
• Ensure all tools and equipment are properly used, maintained, and accounted for.
• Complete assigned technical and safety training programmes.
• Prepare accurate and timely service reports, repair reports, project daily reports, and other required documentation.
• Respond promptly to troubleshooting and repair requests to minimise customer equipment downtime.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and customer-site regulations.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of company and customer information.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Team Leader or Department Manager.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Comfortable working at semiconductor wafer fabrication facilities, including cleanroom and sub-fab environments, as well as the company workshop.
• Willing to work overtime, including evenings and weekends, when required. OT will be paid.
• Hands-on, technically inclined, and comfortable working in a customer-facing environment.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
