Job summary

HCS Scientific & Chemical Pte Ltd is seeking a dedicated Service Technician – Scientific Equipment to join our maintenance and engineering team on a full-time basis. Based in the Penjuru Place West Region, this role ensures our scientific equipment operates at peak performance for clients.

Qualifications

Diploma or degree in engineering, electronics, mechanical engineering, or related technical discipline, or equivalent qualification
Proven experience as a Service Technician in scientific/lab equipment or industrial sector
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to resolve technical issues
Ability to read technical drawings, schematics and manuals
Proficient with diagnostic equipment and tools including multimeters
Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems incl. cooling/heating/pressure/vacuum/stirring
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and team
Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites
Attention to detail and maintaining service records
Problem-solving mindset with ability to work independently or in a team

Responsibilities

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on scientific and laboratory equipment
Diagnose faults using diagnostic tools and implement effective solutions
Inspect and calibrate instruments per manufacturer specs and standards
Install and configure new equipment at customer facilities
Respond to service calls with on-site and remote troubleshooting
Maintain detailed service records of maintenance and repairs
Liaise with customers to understand requirements and provide guidance
Order and manage spare parts and inventory for repairs
Stay updated with software upgrades and new equipment tech
Comply with health and safety regulations and company policies
