Job summary

Search Personnel Pte Ltd is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, service, troubleshoot and provide customer technical support for analytical and scientific instruments. Based in Kallang, you will handle installation, preventive maintenance and on-site repairs, with some remote support when needed.

The role requires strong troubleshooting and communication, willingness to travel locally and overseas, and the ability to document service reports.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics, Chemical Engineering, Instrumentation & Controls or related discipline.
• Exposure to analytical/scientific instruments such as Particle Size Analyzers, XRF, spectroscopy systems or ICP spectrometers is advantageous.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Customer-oriented with good communication and service documentation skills.
• Able to plan work independently and manage multiple service assignments.
• Willing to travel locally and overseas.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of analytical/scientific instruments.
• Provide onsite and remote technical support to customers.
• Diagnose equipment faults and resolve service issues effectively.
• Coordinate technical cases and escalated complex issues when required.
• Maintain accurate service reports, documentation and compliance records.
• Support customer communication and follow up on service matters.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure timely service delivery.
• Continuously develop product and technical knowledge through training.
• Support operational and business requirements where required.
• Travel locally and overseas to support regional customers.
