Job summary

Chemoscience Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a Field Service Engineer to join our engineering team. This full-time role is based in the Woodlands North region, delivering on-site maintenance and expert technical support to clients, ensuring equipment reliability and optimal performance.

You will install, service and troubleshoot complex systems, travel to customer sites, document activities, and work with the head office to improve service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in mechanical, electrical engineering or related field.
• Proven experience as a field service engineer, technician or similar role.
• Strong technical knowledge of installations, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities under pressure.
• Ability to read schematics, manuals and drawings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with customers and internal teams.
• Reliable transport and a valid driving licence; willingness to travel to client sites.
• Commitment to ongoing training and professional development.
• Preferred: CMMS and service technology experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on customer equipment.
• Diagnose issues and implement effective troubleshooting to minimise downtime.
• Install, configure and commission equipment at customer sites.
• Perform routine inspections and safety checks.
• Document service activities and observations for client records.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to customers clearly.
• Manage spare parts inventory and ensure tools are ready for field work.
• Respond promptly to service calls and emergencies.
• Contribute to continual improvement of field service processes.
