Job summary

ACE RECRUITERS is assisting a leading industrial equipment wholesaler to hire a permanent Field Service Engineer for the West (Pioneer) area in Singapore. You will install and commission equipment at customer sites, perform testing, diagnose issues, and provide on-site technical support with thorough documentation.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and ongoing customer engagement to ensure optimal uptime.

Qualifications

• Diploma/NTC in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical & Electronics, or related discipline.
• Willing to travel to customer sites for installation and service.
• Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance is advantageous.
• Strong focus on safety and compliance with company standards.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission new equipment at customer sites.
• Test and verify machine operation and configurations.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control issues.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support and training.
• Maintain service records and contribute to continuous improvement.

Job description

Job Scope

This is a permanent position attached to aCompany which is a wholesaler of industrial machinery and equipment. They manufacture, import / export industrial equipment and electronic components.

Location: West (Pioneer)

Machine Installation & Commissioning

• Perform installation and commissioning of new equipment at customer sites.
• Conduct machine testing and verification to ensure proper operation.
• Configure machine settings according to customer requirements.
• Provide site acceptance testing (SAT) support.

Technical Service & Maintenance

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system issues.
• Repair and replace defective components.
• Ensure minimum machine downtime through effective troubleshooting.
• Maintain service records and maintenance reports.

Customer Technical Support

• Provide on-site and remote technical support.
• Respond promptly to customer service requests and breakdown calls.
• Advise customers on machine operation and maintenance best practices.
• Build strong customer relationships and maintain high customer satisfaction.

Training & Documentation

• Train customers’ operators and maintenance personnel.
• Prepare service reports after each visit.
• Maintain installation, maintenance, and repair documentation.
• Assist in developing maintenance procedures and user guides.

Continuous Improvement

• Provide feedback to engineering and sales teams regarding customer issues and machine improvements.
• Support machine upgrades, retrofits, and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.

Requirements

Diploma or ITC/NTC in:

• Mechanical Engineering
• Mechatronics Engineering
• Electrical & Electronics Engineering

• Related technical discipline

Work Hours

Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm
