Job summary

Ministry of Manpower in Singapore seeks a Field Intelligence Officer to gather ground intelligence on foreign workers and employment offences for enforcement purposes. You will monitor the workforce landscape to identify issues needing MOM or agency intervention to maintain public order and social cohesion.

You will join a team conducting ground operations to collect intelligence on Work Pass abuses and develop sources to assess implications and propose follow-up actions.

Qualifications

• Tertiary education is required.
• Experience in law enforcement or regulatory work preferred.
• Strong social networking and observation skills.
• Creative and able to adapt to changing situations.
• Willing to work outdoors, with after-hours or weekend duties.
• Good report-writing skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide ground intelligence on foreign workforce and employment offences for enforcement.
• Monitor foreign worker landscape to detect issues requiring intervention to maintain public order and social cohesion.
• Participate in ground operations to collect intelligence for enforcement and monitor Work Pass abuses.
• Develop and maintain diverse sources to gather information, assess implications, and propose follow-up actions.
• Monitor ground situation among foreign workers and probe incidents or concerns.
• Collaborate with other government agencies to share information and conduct joint operations to prevent and detect offences involving Work Passes and foreign workers.
