Job summary

ICONNEXION ASIA PTE. LTD. is seeking a Field Application Engineer Manager to lead our Penang-based FAE team, driving design-in opportunities and managing key customer and supplier relationships across consumer, automotive, and industrial markets.

This strategic, customer-facing role combines engineering leadership with project management, requiring strong communication skills and travel to regional customer sites.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in Field Application Engineering or design engineering.
• Proven experience leading a technical team.
• Strong knowledge of electronics design, embedded systems, and analog/digital circuits.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel locally and regionally to support projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of FAEs to achieve design-in success.
• Serve as the technical escalation point for complex projects.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and supplier teams to identify needs.
• Oversee the design-in process from requirements to mass production.
• Conduct technical presentations, workshops, and training for customers.
• Develop strategic account management plans for long-term partnerships.
• Monitor market trends and competitor technologies to inform strategy.
• Manage resource allocation, project prioritization, and metrics.
