Job summary

Quectel is seeking a skilled Customer Technical Support Engineer in Singapore to act as the first responder for customer inquiries and diagnose issues across the product lifecycle. You will develop deep product expertise and craft technical solutions, including reference designs and training materials.

You will engage with prototype design teams, review schematics, optimize power and RF aspects, and help shorten time-to-market.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first responder for customer technical inquiries and diagnose and resolve issues remotely or on-site across the product lifecycle.
• Develop deep expertise across the product portfolio and propose hardware-software solutions; author technical documents and training materials.
• Engage during prototype design phase with schematic review, PCB guidance, antenna matching, power optimization, and RF debugging.
• Collect and synthesize customer pain points; drive SDKs, documentation, tools, and reference designs improvements.
• Take ownership of the customer's lifecycle end-to-end, ensuring timely professional support at every stage.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product Managers and R&D; document typical cases and contribute to the knowledge base to improve team capability.

Job description

• Act as the first responder for customer technical inquiries. Diagnose and resolve technical issues remotely or on-site throughout the customer's product lifecycle — from design and development to testing and mass production. Drive efficient internal R&D resource engagement to minimize issue resolution cycle time.
• Develop deep expertise across the company's product portfolio (including but not limited to 4G/5G cellular modules, GNSS, Wi‑Fi/BLE, radar, antenna, power modules, etc.). Recommend and architect optimal hardware-software solutions tailored to customer use cases and requirements. Author and deliver technical solution documents, reference designs, application notes, and training materials.
• Engage deeply during the customer's prototype design phase. Provide technical support including schematic review, PCB layout guidance, antenna matching advisory, power consumption optimization, and RF debugging — helping customers "get it right the first time" and shorten their time-to-market.
• Proactively collect and synthesize customer pain points and requirements when using our products. Drive continuous improvement of SDKs, documentation, tools, reference designs, and other deliverables — making them "easy to access, easy to learn, easy to use."
• Take ownership of the customer's product lifecycle end-to-end. From component selection and design-in, through testing and validation, to mass production deployment and post-sales maintenance — ensure customers receive timely, professional technical support at every stage.
• Partner with the Sales team on customer technical exchanges and solution presentations. Collaborate with Product Managers to feed back market requirements and competitive intelligence. Work with R&D to drive bug fixes and feature iterations. Regularly document typical cases and contribute to the knowledge base, elevating the overall technical capability of the team.
