Job summary

ISS M&E PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an experienced Facilities Engineering Manager to oversee day-to-day hospital maintenance, ensure safe and compliant operations, and deliver best-practice engineering services across mechanical, electrical, and building systems.

You will lead a team, coordinate specialist subcontractors, manage costs, and align processes with hospital requirements and service level agreements to drive reliability and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering with minimum two years of healthcare industry experience.
• Preferably able to double up as a Safety Officer and/or Fire Safety Manager.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills in project management and facilities management.
• Excellent communication to engage with customers, service providers, and internal teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and facilities management software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day hospital operations, ensuring best practice in engineering maintenance for a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
• Manage specialist sub-contractors to ensure KPI, response time, frequency, quality and completeness of maintenance.
• Lead the team in central operations and support departments for backend engineering maintenance work with excellence and consistency.
• Collaborate with managers to meet end-user requirements in M&E systems and distribution, and manage client relationships per KPI and SLA.
• Strategize, plan, and implement all business processes and procedures that align with hospital operation requirements.
• Seek opportunities to improve and enhance work structure, including working hours, shift detailing and team support.
• Be responsible for responding to voices of customers/end users, processes, employees, finances and sub-contractors, and monitor performance with balanced scorecard.
• Monitor operational costs and expenses against budget and identify opportunities to generate additional revenue by securing more works.

Job Responsibilities:

To lead and manage day to day operations, ensuring that the hospital facilities provide best practice in engineering maintenance to achieve a safer environment for all patients, staff and visitors.

To manage all specialist sub-contractor to ensure compliance in term of KPI, response time, frequency, quality and completeness of maintenance

To manage the team in areas, central operation and respective support departments to carry out daily back-end engineering maintenance work, ensuring excellency and consistency in operational support according to the design intents of various mechanical, electrical, medical and specialist systems.

Work closely with Manager, area and central operations and the team to meet end user requirement in the M&E system and its distribution. Support in manage customers and end user relationship with reference to the KPI and service level agreement.

Strategize, plan, and implement all business process and procedure that align with the operation requirements of the hospital.

Seek opportunity to improve and enhance the work structure, in terms of the working hours, the shift detailing and the support of the team to support the hospital operations.

To be responsible for the response to the voices of customer/end users, process, employee, finance and sub-con/specialist and monitor, accessing the performance with balanced score card.

To manage and monitor the operational costs and expenses against budget.

To work closely with client to identify areas of opportunities to improve the facilities and all engineering system and generate additional revenue by securing additional works

Job Requirements

Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Building Services Estates Management) with minimum two (2) years of relevant experience in the healthcare industry.

Preferably able to double up as a Safety Officer and/or Fire Safety Manager

Strong organizational and multitasking skills in project management and facilities management.

An ability to manage and lead a team effectively and excellent communication skills to engage with customers, service providers, and internal teams.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and facilities management software.
