Job summary

Singapore National Eye Centre is seeking a Manager / Assistant Manager to oversee the Facilities Management & Engineering department, ensuring uninterrupted operations of buildings, plants and assets while driving strategic quality plans. You will lead development and upgrading projects and address sustainability matters.

You will also support quality management, emergency planning and risk management, and work with authorities on regulatory compliance. Strong interpersonal skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Experience in facilities/building maintenance and healthcare settings advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; proficient with Office apps.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations of FM&E department to ensure uninterrupted services.

Manager / Assistant Manager, Facilities Management & Engineering

Job Category: Administration

You will support and responsible for the overall operational management of the Facilities Management & Engineering Department. These include the development of both long- and short-term strategic quality plans to ensure the continuous and uninterrupted operations and maintenance of buildings, plants and all infrastructural assets and facilities, and ensure the timely replacement of equipment and fixtures.

You will play an active role in the department as project manager and executor for development, upgrading projects as well as environmental sustainability matters and all statutory compliances by working closely with government authorities.

You will also support Quality Management including emergency planning, risk management and building facility safety, and any other duties assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or any other relevant discipline with at least 8 years' experience

Prior experience in a healthcare setting, civil and building maintenance and environmental sustainability would be advantageous

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with healthcare staff of all levels

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
