Job Summary

As the Facilities Tool Install Engineer, you will be responsible for supervising and implementing the site plan and design for all manufacturing tool install activities, cleanroom preventive/corrective maintenance program, and the space planning of facilities utilities. You will be directly involved in equipment installation projects or non‑routine maintenance activities pertaining to process tools, coordinating with contractors to ensure timely completion within safety, quality, schedule, and budget requirements.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to company’s environmental, safety, and health policies, SOPs, risk assessment, and housekeeping standards.
• Implement systems and procedures required to attain department goals and objectives.
• Handle resources to achieve desired goals and maintain high quality, dynamic schedules, and forecasted budgets.
• Understand design philosophy of facilities utilities systems to manufacturing tools.
• Plan and implement equipment hookup for new, conversion, unhooking, and relocation tools.
• Plan, track, and update utilities database to support manufacturing production tools.
• Plan and supervise capital and expense expenditures related to tool install.
• Review and approve equipment hookup drawings.
• Lead all tool install contractors site‐work activities to comply with EHS regulations, risk assessment, safe work procedures, and permit‑to‑work system.
• Manage hookup project schedule and manpower assignment.
• Coordinate with equipment engineers to finalize utilities release schedule and special requirements.
• Perform utilities and cleanroom system fixing, conduct root‑cause analysis, and implement CA/PA to prevent reoccurrence.
• Lead continual improvement of documentation in SOP, risk assessment, and installation procedures.
• Lead outsourced contract service provider to perform work activities per service agreement.
• Control costs associated with tool installation and promote cost‑reduction projects.
• Ensure all materials and manpower ordered are needed and used to complete activities.
• Coordinate EHS, funding cycle, and CCM new tool projects to evaluate utilities build plans and cost impact.
• Drive quality improvement, reliability improvement, and cost‑reduction programs for tool‑install activities.
• Support Facilities global initiatives such as BKM, 18‑package scope alignment, and 30/20/10 program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering or Science (required).
• Design and engineering background in mechanical systems such as HVAC or exhaust (advantage).
• Familiarity with sustainability efforts (electricity, waste, water reduction) is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite; VBA experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical, logical, and critical‑thinking skills.
• Effective communicator able to collaborate across all levels.
• Growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning.
• Internship or experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership and impact record are highly desirable.
• Interest and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron preferred.
