Job Summary
To lead engineering and maintenance works in the fields of mechanical equipment and system on site, to achieve continual improvement to system robustness, reliability and efficiency with the necessary guidance and direction from the Facilities organization, and to meet facilities department, site, corporate and company goals.
Main Responsibilities
- Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs for facilities mechanical systems including HVAC, exhaust systems, scrubbers, process cooling water, chillers, boilers, cooling towers, compressed air systems, fire protection system and cleanroom air systems to ensure maximum equipment uptime and reliability.
- Respond to and problem solve system issues and production interruptions related to mechanical systems.
- Plan, design and lead mechanical engineering projects including new construction, system upgrades and quality improvement.
- Perform capacity tracking and planning for mechanical systems.
- Enforce the company’s environmental, safety and health policies and procedures, standard operating procedures with risk assessment, good housekeeping standards and quality policy when performing work.
- Utilize computer‑based software to document and analyze records of maintenance work orders, equipment history and project tracking.
- Maintain maintenance records for system fault history traceability.
- Proficient in quality tools such as 8D and 5WHY analysis for troubleshooting or incidents.
- Initiate and lead energy savings and sustainability projects.
- Perform and manage procurement tasks for facilities system equipment upkeep.
- Identify and enable smart technologies and AI for improvement of managed tasks (e.g., project tracking, maintenance overviews, budget tracking).
- Integrate AI‑assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness while exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI‑enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering or Science is required.
- Design and engineering background in mechanical systems such as HVAC and exhaust systems is advantageous.
- Familiarity with sustainability efforts (electricity, waste, water reduction) is a plus.
- Ability to perform automation using MS Office suite; Excel VBA experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical, logical, and critical thinking skills.
- Effective communicator, able to collaborate across all levels.
- Growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning.
- Internship or experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership and a track record of impact are highly desirable.
- Interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred.
