Job summary

Singapore Land Group Limited invites applications for a Maintenance/Facilities Engineer role to oversee engineering services, cost management, and contract oversight for building systems in Singapore. The position requires coordinating maintenance plans, supervising vendors, and ensuring regulatory compliance across tenant fit-outs and alterations.

You will evaluate energy-efficient tech, manage budgets, draft tender specs, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver reliable building operations.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Possess strong technical knowledge of building equipment and components.
• Strong communication and people management skills with ability to lead, guide and coach team.

Responsibilities

• Plan equipment maintenance, repair and minor enhancement works for better service reliability.
• Supervise maintenance works to ensure works are carried out timely and diligently by technicians or vendors.
• Supervise periodical inspections to identify and address any system anomalies.
• Execute capex replacements to minimize system disruptions and ensure the building systems perform as intended.
• Participate in new energy & water efficient technologies evaluation for improvements to equipment and cost efficiency.
• Supervise and ensure maintenance works carried out are in compliance to regulatory and contractual requirements.
• Implement best practices in line with industry standards to maintain compliance with OHS and environmental regulations.
• Manage service requests and faults to ensure timely response and closure.
• Draft tender specifications for capex and term contract renewals to incorporate latest requirements and standards.
• Participate in tender/quotation submissions evaluation for recommendations to award.
• Participate in vendor's performance assessment to identify areas for improvement.
• Execute work plans and monitor attendance of both internal staff and outsourced service providers for compliance to requirements.
• Participate in new contract models' evaluation for better cost efficiency and productivity.
• Contribute to work requirements for compliance to tenancy design guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in tenancy design guidelines review periodically for alignment with new requirements and/or standards.
• Advice on change of uses, reconfiguration, subdivision of tenanted units for compliance to building system and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in meetings with consultants, tenants and contractors for the coordination of works.
• Any other duties as assigned by the Management

Education

Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience

Strong communication and people management skills

Experience in real estate developer, retail industry or M&E contractors
