Job summary

ENGIE Southeast Asia is seeking a qualified ACMV Facilities Engineer to support the Facilities Senior Manager in Singapore. You will oversee maintenance programs for ACMV systems across medical/hospital environments and ensure safety and code compliance.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years' experience in ACMV or facilities management, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to energy efficiency and system optimization on site.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years in ACMV trade, facilities management or project management.
• Experience in healthcare or non-healthcare sectors.
• Ability to guide and troubleshoot ACMV faults.
• Strong communication, meticulous, and safety-minded.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Manager/Manager in liaising with client on all works.
• Ensure maintenance programs and rectification jobs are managed by a team of technical officers and technicians.
• Oversee maintenance activities for ACMV systems including chiller, chilled water, DX, ventilation, clean room, negative/positive rooms, and BMS.
• Lead technical investigations for rectification works.
• Maintain daily AC thermal comfort within code of practice.
• Track and report maintenance work, follow up actions, and keep checklists.
• Implement efficiency improvements on operations and energy conservation.
• Provide excellent service to meet client expectations.
• Coordinate with owners/users, consultants, vendors/contractors on engineering requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure maintenance programmes are implemented safely.
• Provide ACMV technical specifications for upgrades/renovations when required.
• Familiar with local codes, including ASHRAE standards.
• Ensure all works carried out safely and per procedures.
• Liaise with contractors for rectification/ad-hoc works.
• Investigate, analyze and report root causes of breakdowns.

*Please note that the work schedule for this position is 5.5 days/week.

• Assist Facilities Senior Manager / Manager in liaising with client on all works
• To ensure the maintenance programs and rectification jobs are manage by a Team of technical officers and technicians efficiently.
• Ensure and oversee maintenance activities for ACMV systems, including chiller system, chilled water system, DX system, mechanical ventilation system, clean room system, negative and positive room system, building management system and etc.
• Advice and lead the technical investigations for rectification works.
• Responsible for the daily AC thermal comfort are within acceptable limit as per code of practice.
• Tracking & reporting for maintenance work, follow-up on actions, and maintain maintenance checklists and schedules
• Implement efficiency improvement on the operational process, innovating and implementing systems improvement on energy conservation.
• Provide excellent service to meet client expectations.
• Providing feasible solution and coordinate with owners / users, consultants, vendors / contractors on engineering functional requirements and ensure the objectives are achieved.
• Conduct regular inspection of existing air-conditioning system to ensure that all maintenance programmes are implemented effectively in strict compliance with instructions and guidelines.
• To provide ACMV technical specifications for upgrade or renovation work when required.
• Familiar with local codes of practice, including but not limited to ASHRAE standards.
• To ensure all works carried out safely and / or in accordance with safety procedures.
• Liaise with contractors for rectification and/or ad-hoc works
• Investigate, analyse and determine root cause and report breakdowns and faults effectively
• Prepare technical reports and proposals on breakdowns

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other Engineering equivalent
• Minimum 5 Years of experience in ACMV Trade or Facilities Management or project management (healthcare / non healthcare)
• Able to guide and troubleshoot ACMV faults.
• Good communication skills and positive mindset
• Meticulous, self-motivated, self-discipline, good communication skills and well-organized; and
• Has a good safety mindset and displays good WSH behaviour.
