Job Description
We are seeking a Facilities Engineer (ACMV) to support the maintenance, reliability and performance of ACMV systems across a portfolio of managed facilities.
The successful candidate will oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities, supervise service providers and support engineering projects to ensure operational continuity, regulatory compliance and efficient system performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the operation and maintenance of ACMV systems, including chillers, cooling towers, AHUs, FCUs, ventilation and associated control systems.
- Conduct troubleshooting and fault diagnosis to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Plan, coordinate and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance works carried out by contractors and service providers.
- Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency and equipment lifespan.
- Support upgrading, retrofitting, replacement and testing & commissioning of ACMV equipment and systems.
- Review maintenance records, service reports and technical documentation.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with statutory requirements, workplace safety regulations and company procedures.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants and stakeholders on ACMV-related matters.
- Respond to urgent breakdowns and provide technical support when required.
- Prepare technical reports and recommendations for maintenance and asset replacement planning.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Facilities Management or related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in ACMV operations, facilities management or building maintenance.
- Good working knowledge of chiller plants, cooling towers, AHUs, FCUs and ventilation systems.
- Experience in managing maintenance contractors and service providers.
- Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) will be an advantage.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple sites and priorities.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
