Job summary

The Fullerton Hotel Singapore is seeking a capable supervisor to assist the Manager in running the operation and delivering courteous service to all guests, in line with Forbes Travel Guide standards.

You will supervise staff, ensure menu and wine list adherence, maintain mise-en-place, safety and cleanliness, and work with the Chef and beverage team to drive upselling and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Forbes Travel Guide service standards.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent interpersonal and guest-handling skills.
• Strong planning and organisational abilities to run a streamlined operation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Manager to run the operation and provide courteous service to all guests.
• Assist the manager in training and auditing service standards per Forbes Travel Guide and hotel protocols.
• Supervise assigned staff and ensure all Food & Beverage service phases are performed.
• Ensure drinks and foods served meet menu and wine list specs and are served at proper temperatures.
• Check daily restaurant preparation, mise-en-place, table settings, cleanliness and equipment.Ensure staff personal cleanliness and appearance.
• Enforce strict safety regulations and conduct daily staff briefings.
• Perform staff appraisals and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Inspect the outlet for cleanliness of linen, equipment, fixtures and furniture; verify proper setup.
• Monitor guest service levels and address issues promptly.
• Anticipate guest complaints and take corrective action.
• Ensure adequate operating supplies and par stock, and anticipate additional needs.
• Coordinate with Chef and beverage department for promotions and upselling.
