Job summary

MyCelium Catering Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an F&B Executive to support cafe operations, including coffee preparation, customer service and cashiering, while providing administrative and operational support.

You will work with the operations lead and culinary team, maintain stock records, handle daily transactions, and assist with school catering events as required. Barista experience and a Food Safety Level 1 certificate are preferred.

About MyCelium Catering

MyCelium Catering is the institutional catering arm of FoodInc. A veteran food provider for over 20 years in the food and beverage industry, our vast experience spans across various genres, from fine-dining and casual eateries to catering and consultancy services.

Job Purpose

The F&B Executive supports F&B operations, working closely with with the Operation Lead, F&B Executives and Culinary team. The role combines hands-on café operations, including coffee and beverage preparation, customer service and cashiering, with administrative and operational support to ensure smooth, efficient and well-coordinated daily operations.

KeyResponsibilities

• Support the daily operation of the café, including opening and closing procedures, service setup, cleanliness and readiness for service.
• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based beverages and other drinks according to established standards; barista experience is required to support coffee operations.
• Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders and other beverage equipment.
• Provide friendly, professional and efficient customer service; handle customer orders, cashiering and electronic payment transactions accurately.
• Support food production, presentation and service requirements when required.
• Perform daily closing, reconciliation and reporting, ensuring sales, transaction and supporting records are complete and properly accounted for.
• Maintain accurate stock and inventory records, including stock movements, stock takes, replenishment and purchasing requirements, while supporting cost control and minimising wastage and spoilage.
• Handle and print school vouchers as required and maintain the relevant records.
• Carry out weekly banking and maintain the necessary supporting documentation.
• Provide administrative and operational support, including day-to-day Gmail correspondence and communications with the school, management, suppliers, stakeholders andinternal teams.
• Prepare and maintainadministrative records, billing, reports, correspondence and supporting documentation, including timely follow-up on operational, event and function matters.
• Support catering requirements, school events and functions, and communicate requirements clearly to the kitchen and operations teams to ensure smooth execution and delivery.
• Develop and maintain positive stakeholder relationships and provide regular operational updates to the General Manager and Head Chef.
• Maintain cleanliness and comply with food hygiene, workplace safety, risk management and operational service standards at all times.
• Assist senior staff and supportor guide junior team members where required.
• Perform any other duties reasonably assigned by the Operation Lead, F&B Executives and Culinary team

Requirements

• Previous experience in F&B or café operations, with barista experience and familiarity with coffee preparation, espresso machines and beverage equipment.
• Valid Food Safety Course Level 1 certificate (or equivalent recognised food handler certification).
• Good customer service, verbaland written communication skills.
• Able to work independently andas part of a team in a fast-paced F&B environment.
• Responsible, organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to maintain accurate records and meet deadlines.
• Good knowledge of food hygiene, workplace safety and operational standards.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel, and comfortable using Gmail for email correspondence.
• Familiar with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, cashiering systems and electronic payment transactions.
• Comfortable with basic data entry, stock and sales records, reconciliation and simple operational reports.
• Willing and able to learn new operational, administrative and POS systems as required.
