Job summary

DP World Marine Services (Shipping Solutions) is seeking a Trade Executive (COC) to support service utilisation and commercial performance through planning and managing Carrier Owned Container capacity and slot allocation. The role focuses on load factor optimisation, yield improvement and data-driven trade decisions.

Responsibilities include voyage allocations, market analysis, performance reporting and helping align COC/SOC pricing.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in logistics, shipping, transportation or related field.
• 2–3 years of container shipping industry experience.
• Analytical, systematic and efficient task management approach.
• Proactive, reliable and able to work in a team with strong communication.

• Prepare voyage-based allocations to optimise vessel utilisation.
• Steer allocation utilisation across TEU and tonnage to maximise profitability.
• Support slot control activities including the purchase and sale of slots.
• Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports.
• Analyse market trends and internal data to support pricing and trade decisions.
• Assist in setting Minimum Rate Guidelines (MRG) based on cost, margin, competitor activity and cargo patterns.
• Help align COC and SOC pricing to avoid internal undercutting.

The role places particular emphasis on improving load factor optimisation, enhancing yield, and contributing to informed trade and network decision-making through analysis and data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the efficient management of assigned services

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Possess a Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Shipping, Transportation, or a related discipline
• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the container shipping industry
• Demonstrate analytical skills with a systematic and efficient approach to task management
• Self-motivated, proactive and reliable with strong work ethic
• Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team, coupled with strong communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
