Job summary

DP World Logistics Singapore PTE. LTD. is seeking an Assistant / Manager, Procurement to support the procurement team with market analysis, pricing reviews and data-driven commercial recommendations that align with the company’s objectives.

You will work closely with the regional procurement team, evaluate new products, monitor market developments and help shape pricing strategies that boost growth and performance across airfreight operations from Singapore.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Airfreight experience in Freight Forwarding.
• At least 3 years in commercial roles; pricing/tenders preferred.
• Strong negotiation, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-focused with collaborative mindset.
• Proficient in price modelling, Excel, PowerPoint and reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Support development and implementation of country airfreight pricing strategy.
• Drive growth across trade lanes by optimizing volume, revenue and capacity through pricing.
• Establish and manage Tender Net Rates (TNR) and support RFI/RFP/RFQ activities.
• Collaborate with procurement on spot rate and short-term growth initiatives.
• Analyze market trends and generate pricing/performance reports (NAR).
• Liaise between airfreight product, sales, marketing, and trade lane teams; review pricing with countries.
• Lead negotiations with airlines and co-loader vendors; manage rate agreements and space bookings.
• Drive space and capacity planning to optimize cost and service levels; develop new airfreight products from Singapore.
• Experience in Singapore–USA core trade lane is a strong advantage.

Job description

As the Assistant / Manager, Procurement, you will support the procurement team in analysing market trends, reviewing competitive pricing, and preparing data-driven commercial recommendations to support business growth and performance. Working closely with the regional procurement team, you will assist in evaluating and introducing new products, monitoring market developments, and supporting pricing strategies that align with DP World’s commercial objectives. Your contribution will help ensure the procurement function remains responsive to market opportunities and supports the company’s overall business performance.

Key Accountabilities

• Support the development and implementation of the country airfreight pricing strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, market conditions, and profitable growth.
• Drive growth across trade lanes and consolidation lanes by optimizing volume, revenue, gross profit, and capacity utilization through strategic pricing initiatives.
• Establish and manage Tender Net Rates (TNR), provide transparent selling rates, and support the Contracts and Tenders team in securing profitable business through RFI, RFP, and RFQ activities.
• Collaborate with Procurement on spot rate and short-term growth initiatives, and evaluate rates from overseas offices to ensure commercial competitiveness and market alignment.
• Analyze market trends and generate relevant pricing and performance reports, including the Nonstandard Administration Report (NAR), to support data-driven decision-making.
• Act as the key liaison between airfreight product, sales, marketing, and trade lane teams, and facilitate regular reviews with target countries to align pricing and growth strategies.
• Lead negotiations and relationship management with airlines and co-loader vendors, including rate agreements, capacity management, and space bookings.
• Drive operational space and capacity planning to optimize cost and service levels, and develop new airfreight products and solutions from Singapore.
• Experience in the Singapore–USA core trade lane is a strong advantage.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Airfreight within the Freight Forwarding industry.
• 3 years of commercial experience, preferably in pricing and global/regional tenders will be an added advantage
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including negotiation and presentation abilities.
• Customer-focused with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
• Proficiency in spreadsheet price modelling, PowerPoint, and reporting information systems.
