Job summary

JOINTHIRE SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. seeks a seasoned logistics professional to manage shipment bookings and freight across sea, air, and land. You will negotiate rates, track end-to-end delivery, and ensure regulatory compliance while coordinating with internal sales affiliates.

The role requires 5–8 years in logistics or trade operations, plus familiarity with SAP systems. Singapore-based, with occasional overseas travel and a standard Mon–Fri schedule.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
• 5–8 years experience in freight, logistics coordination, or trade operations.
• Familiarity with Incoterms 2020 is a plus.
• Experience with SAP systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Book and coordinate shipments across sea, air, and land modes.
• Negotiate freight rates and service terms; benchmark market rates.
• Track shipments end-to-end and resolve delays with urgency.
• Lead carrier selection based on cost, transit time, reliability, and compliance.

Apart from its marketing and sales activities locally, the company also performs vital functions to support the Group’s global operations, such as the procurement of flexible packaging materials, chemicals and raw materials, the provision of logistic solutions, and developing new businesses in the region.

Job Description:

• - Logistics: Shipment Booking & Freight Management
• - Book and coordinate shipments with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and carriers across sea, air, and land modes
• - Negotiate freight rates and service terms; regularly benchmark against market to ensure cost competitiveness
• - Track shipments end-to-end and resolve delays, discrepancies, or any issues with a sense of urgency
• - Lead the carrier selection process by evaluating carriers against defined criteria covering cost, transit time, reliability, and compliance; maintain an approved carrier list and review it periodically
• - Ensure full compliance with applicable trade regulations, customs requirements, and Incoterms
• - Coordinate with relevant parties to follow up and resolve complex cargo claims
• - Internal Sales Coordination: Affiliate Management
• - Serve as the operational point of contact for internal sales affiliates, managing order intake and fulfilment coordination
• - Monitor sales orders and purchase orders across affiliates; identify demand patterns and flag supply constraints proactively
• - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records; prepare regular reports on order status, shipment progress, and any open issues for internal stakeholders
• - Work closely with affiliates to navigate order processing workflows and ensure PO discrepancies are identified and resolved accurately and on time
• - Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements:

• - At least Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field
• - Minimum 5 - 8 years of experience in freight, logistics coordination, or trade operations
• - Good-to-have: Working knowledge of marine cargo insurance and claims handling
• - Preferably: Familiarity with Incoterms 2020
• - Preferably: Experience in trading business
• - Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP (HANA) / SAP Business One system would be an added advantage
• - Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• - Able to travel occasionally for overseas business trips
