Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Event Operations Manager to oversee the end-to-end operational planning, logistics, and on-site execution of live events, productions, and entertainment experiences. This role leads operational workflows from concept to post-event teardown, ensuring high production standards, strict budget control, venue compliance, and seamless guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Production Management: Lead end-to-end operational planning and on-site execution for corporate, public, and live entertainment events.
Vendor & Contractor Coordination: Source, negotiate with, and supervise vendors for audio-visual (AV), staging, lighting, logistics, ticketing, catering, and security.
Permits & Regulatory Compliance: Secure necessary venue approvals, police permits, SCDF fire safety clearances, and public entertainment licenses in accordance with Singapore statutory requirements.
Risk Assessment & Safety: Develop and implement crowd management plans, emergency response protocols, and Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) guidelines for bump-in, event duration, and teardown.
Budget & Resource Planning: Manage operational budgets, monitor run rates, allocate internal/external resources efficiently, and minimize operational wastage.
Team Supervision: Lead, train, and deploy full-time production crews, part-time event staff, and freelance technicians to ensure seamless coordination on show days.
Post-Event Review: Manage inventory returns, venue handover inspections, vendor reconciliation, and operational post-mortem reports.
Requirements & Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Event Management, Operations Management, Hospitality, or a related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on event operations or live entertainment production experience.
Proven track record managing large-scale event logistics, venue setup/strike, and technical production teams.
Strong familiarity with local venue regulations, statutory licensing, and WSH compliance in Singapore.
Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, and crisis management skills under tight deadlines.
Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, based on event schedules.
