Job summary

Public Service Division is seeking a motivated professional to join the HDB Office team in Toa Payoh, Singapore. You will manage improvement projects, oversee consultants and contractors, and ensure quality, safety, and on-time delivery of housing and maintenance initiatives.

The role requires effective communication, a passion to serve, independence, confidence, and a willingness to learn. Contract is 1+1 year, based at HDB Hub, Toa Payoh.

Qualifications

• Relevant technical background and/or experience in construction-related discipline is advantageous but not required.
• Effective communication skills are essential.
• A passion to serve and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage various improvement projects, including works to HDB flats and car parks.
• Coordinate and oversee consultants and contractors; handle contract administration such as payments, variation orders, and extension of time.
• Conduct regular site audits and liaise with stakeholders to ensure quality, safety, timeliness, and budget adherence.
• Undertake ad-hoc projects to drive continuous improvement in home maintenance and estate management.

[What the role is]

You will be part of a dynamic team in an HDB Office to manage various improvement projects and to serve the residents by providing quality housing & maintenance services

[What you will be working on]

• Managing various improvement projects, which includesimprovement works to HDB flats and car parks
• Management of consultants and contractors, and handling contract administration matters such as processing payments, claims, assessing the need for variation works, extension of time.
• Conducting regular site audits and liaison with stakeholders to ensure projects meet quality and safety standards, are delivered on time, and within budget.
• Undertaking ad-hoc projects and initiatives to drive continuous improvement in home maintenance and estate management.
