Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Singapore's MSB site is seeking an Equipment Technician to monitor, sustain and improve the semiconductor manufacturing equipment.

You will work with the Shift Operations team and tool vendors, performing preventive maintenance and repairs with mechanical, electrical, and PC/software skills. The role requires a Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic preferred), experience in equipment maintenance, and willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering; Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic preferred.
• Experience in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting preferred.
• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes preferred.
• Able to work on 12-hour rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting on non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process.
• Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment per layouts and manuals.
• Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts.
• Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required.
• May perform equipment modifications as directed by engineers.

Equipment Technicians are responsible for monitoring, sustaining, and improving the equipment in their assigned area, while working in partnership with Shift Operations team members, area equipment engineers and tool vendors. Equipment Technicians monitor tool performance, schedule and perform preventative maintenance on assigned tool sets, and use mechanical, electronic and PC/software skills to repair equipment issues.

Responsibilities

• Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process
• Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings
• Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts.
• Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required
• May perform equipment modifications as directed by engineers.

Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.

• Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.

Requirements

• Diploma in Engineering. Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering is preferred
• Experience in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting is preferred
• Knowledge on semiconductor manufacturing process and technologies is preferred
• Able to work on 12 hours rotating shift.
