Jaguar Engineering & Construction Pte Ltd, a Singapore‑based firm delivering A&A works, renovation, fit‑out and maintenance, is hiring an Engineering Salesman to grow the project pipeline. The role is hands‑on and field‑facing, suited to someone with an engineering or building background who enjoys client‑facing work.

You will identify opportunities, conduct site assessments, prepare technical quotations and read drawings to scope work accurately.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 2 years in technical sales or business development in construction/engineering.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in preparing quotations and proposals; MS Office skills.
• Strong communication, negotiation and client-facing abilities.
• Willing to travel across Singapore and work weekends when required.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Jaguar Engineering & Construction Pte Ltd is a Singapore-based construction and engineering firm delivering addition & alteration (A&A) works, renovation, fit-out, maintenance and general contracting services for residential, commercial and industrial clients.

We are hiring an Engineering Salesman to grow our project pipeline - identifying opportunities, conducting site assessments, preparing technical quotations and closing contracts. This is a hands-on, field-facing role suited to someone with an engineering or building background who enjoys client-facing work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify and develop new business opportunities for construction, A&A, renovation, fit-out and maintenance projects across residential, commercial and industrial segments.
• Conduct site visits and technical assessments; take measurements, record site conditions and define scope of works with clients and consultants.
• Prepare technical proposals, cost estimates and quotations in coordination with the project and procurement teams.
• Read and interpret architectural, structural and M&E drawings, specifications and tender documents to scope work accurately.
• Source and obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors; evaluate pricing and lead times to support competitive bids.
• Follow up on tenders, quotations and enquiries through to award; negotiate commercial terms within approved margins.
• Maintain and grow relationships with developers, main contractors, consultants, building owners, facility managers and existing clients.
• Coordinate handover of awarded projects to the project management team and support during execution on variation orders and client queries.
• Attend to urgent client site visits, project meetings and deadline-driven submissions on weekends and public holidays when required.
• Track and report sales pipeline, conversion and revenue against monthly and quarterly targets.
• Monitor market pricing, competitor activity and upcoming project opportunities in the Singapore construction market.
• Ensure all proposals and site activities comply with company procedures, WSH requirements and relevant Singapore regulations.

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Building Services, Construction Management or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in technical sales, project sales, estimating or business development, preferably within construction, engineering, renovation, fit-out or building maintenance.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Competent in preparing quotations, cost estimates and proposals; proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word) and email correspondence.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills; comfortable dealing with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Self-driven, target-oriented and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willing to travel to project sites across Singapore.
• Willing and able to work on weekends and public holidays as required by project and client schedules.
• Class 3 driving licence is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Singapore construction practices, BCA/WSH requirements and local supplier networks is an advantage.

WORKING ARRANGEMENT

• Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 6.00pm, plus Saturdays and alternate Sundays / public holidays as required by project and site schedules.
• Off-in-lieu or overtime is provided in accordance with company policy and the Employment Act.
• Site visits across Singapore during and outside standard office hours.
