Job summary

OAKTREE CONSULTING in Singapore seeks an Engineering Manager to lead and coordinate all Engineering Department activities for the design and manufacture of oil and gas equipment and systems. You will drive product design modifications, improve production techniques, review specifications with management, production and sales, and ensure documentation control.

This role requires a degree in mechanical/industrial/materials, at least 5 years in oil & gas equipment manufacturing, and proven

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Materials Science.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Oil & Gas Equipment Manufacturing.
• Prior experience leading or managing an engineering team.
• Able to read and interpret machine and fabrication drawings.
• Proficient in CAD tools and design software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all Engineering Department activities for the design and manufacture of products and systems.
• Drive product design modifications and continuous improvement of production techniques.
• Partner with Management, Production and Sales to assess engineering feasibility, review specifications, evaluate cost effectiveness and respond to customer needs.
• Maintain and control product specifications and documentation.
• Review and approve all job drawings for accuracy and completeness against customer requirements before release to Production.
• Act as the main technical contact for customers on project status, technical reviews and product evaluation programmes.
• Support Production and Quality teams in resolving technical issues and making product disposition decisions, including feasibility analysis of product usage.
• Set, monitor and report departmental KPIs together with engineering team.
• Oversee maintenance of equipment and machinery to sustain product quality.
• Champion 5S, Total Quality Management and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company Safety, Quality and Code of Business Conduct standards.
