Job summary

Precision Engineering Company is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the manufacturing and process engineering team, aligning priorities with production schedules, quality targets, and business goals.

You will partner with plant management on long-term strategy, including capacity planning, automation, and facility layouts, while driving Lean practices to eliminate bottlenecks and improve throughput.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 5+ years in manufacturing engineering with 3+ years leading teams.
• Hands-on CAD experience and data analysis skills.

About the role

• Transport provided at various MRT stops along Jurong West & Jurong East Region.

Key responsibilities

• Manage manufacturing and process engineering team

• Align engineering priorities with production schedules, quality targets, and business goals

• Partner with plant management on long-term strategy, including capacity planning, automation, and facility layouts

• Analyze production data to eliminate bottlenecks, reduce downtime, and cut defects

• Drive Lean manufacturing practices, including standardized work, error-proofing, and fast equipment changeovers

• Partner with Production to fix daily shop-floor issues and boost output

• Work with Quality to resolve product defects, solve root causes, and run corrective action plans

• Maintain clear communication across internal departments and external customers

• Keep equipment records, work instructions, plant layouts, and master document files up to date

• Define technical standards for materials, engineering tolerances, and vendor approvals

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering

• 5+ years in manufacturing engineering, including 3+ years managing or supervising technical teams

• Hands-on experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI)

• Working knowledge of ERP/MES systems for managing BOMs and production routing

• Skilled in structured problem-solving frameworks (e.g., 8D, DMAIC)
